| This is my season. Discipline. Sometimes you need to make sacrifices. Sometimes God just wants you all to Himself!!! What do I mean by this? For those who are wondering where I've been and want an update on my life, I will be studying for the PCAT's [Pharmacy College Admission Test]. My life will be studying and God for right now. God wants me all to Himself, hehe. I am on a strict schedule: Mondays thru Fridays, I have PCAT prep course from 9:30-11:30. Lunch. Study from 1:-7:00. Dinner. 8:00 Workout/Run. Once [or twice] a week-- meet with friends after 8:00 pm. Saturdays, mock PCAT 12:00-5:00 pm [or study 10:00 to 4:00]. Somewhere in there, volunteer at a pharmacy [location to be determined] 4 hours/ per week. Sunday-- Sabbath. Rest. Summarizing God in four sentences [an abridged version, which I extracted after conversing with Sapna] 1) God is love. 2) God is good. 3) I am His beloved. 4) We are all equal. Those who sacrifice. I really admire the instructors at the IC [Instructional Center] --part of the UW Equal Opportunities and Office of Minority Affairs. All of them are middle-aged geniuses. In fact, one I know is a certified genius [who knew you can get tested for that!]. These people could have chose other pathways in life, career-wise, meaning have professions where they get paid really well... set for life. Yet, they chose the less travelled path; it gives them outragegous joy to teach students! I mean, one instructor sacrifices his Saturdays and sometimes Sundays [unpaid might I add]-- just so we will do well on our next exam. I'm so thankful for them. God bless them! | | |
| Good vs. Great The first line of a book [that Carol Wong was reading, not me, hehe] was "The enemy of Good is Great". Wow. Isn't that powerful? Breakfast at Alexa's I had breakfast with my girlfriends, Tamara and Lauren (the beautiful bride below) at Alexa's. It's a really cute cafe in Downtown Bothell. You guys should try it! :). I locked myself out of the car [again], so Tamara being the great friend that she is, drove me back all the way home and drove me back to get my car. I can't believe I'm 23, and I can't believe I've known these girls for 9 years and 11 years respectively. Coffee w/ Carol You guys should check-out this cafe called HotWire in Shoreline. Carol was raving about their soy lattes, and she wasn't lying. so yum! Plus, they have computers there [and free wireless, duh]! If you purchase a drink, you get 15 free minutes. Woohoo! I love finding out about places like this. Talk w/ Carol & My Honesty. Integrity. I learned something about myself, and I learned that I do want girlfriends who would be influencial in my future [God being the number one influencial- being the number one source], whether it be decision-making or even their opinions about what looks good on me when we're shopping. Gi-Yung and I are planning to go shop for sunglasses once finals are over. And I know she will give her honest opinion. haha. | | |
| I'm at the law library, trying to study for my microbio midterm... I'm in love with this library. Nice lighting, pretty newly-constructed, light-colored wood, personal cubicles, tranquility... I thought it was safe. BOY, was I WRONG! Why?!? "What are you doing?!?!!?!?!?!?!" The guy next to me is looking at porn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Disturbed, I moved. Seriously, libraries are for studying. Especially a GRADUATE library! Do that business somewhere else. | | |
| How I love this girl. She's beautiful, inside and out. She has a pure heart. She's one of the few who helped me sustain my faith during high school. I look up to her. I cherish her friendship. She has this great demeanor-- you know that she puts her full trust in God, you can just tell by her composure. She has the best attitutude, and she will be one of the best teachers in Seattle! | | |
| Koreans once viewed flat shoes as "dowdy". I beg to differ! Flat shoes are cute!
Shoppers examine flat shoes at Shinsegae Department Store's main branch in Seoul on Wednesday. New colors and designs are helping flats overcome their dowdy reputation./Yonhap Infection How timely it is learning about Infection and Disease today. [Runny nose, soar throat, coughing, congested head] are the symptoms that seem to persist in me. I rarely get sick. Pam suggested that it could be new allgeries. I think what's happening is that my immune system is not able to detect the the antigens (perhaps they're mutated versions of the once-recognizable antigens). Since my B-cells can't recognize the antigens, it can't produce the appropriate antibodies. Without activation of the specific B-cell , then no antibody is being made for this particular virus. Anyhoo. Raspy Voice Due to my sickness, I've acquired a raspy voice. I sound like a man! Some guys think a raspy voice is sexy. What do you guys think? Is a raspy voice sexy? | | |
